I mean... if HE can do it... Maybe I should just accessorize the Paseo and get some steelies with some beefy rubber and, boom, camping.

I mean, a sleeping bag and a tarp for the long bed would do the trick, too.
Just sayin’.

I did it with my WRX. Well, minus the bikes. Ok, so there is one pic with the roof box and one bike. It can be done!

Don’t be rediculous.
You should just get a TT

I’ve camped with gear filling the back seat of the FR-S, and a 15 foot kayak strapped to the roof.
Run what ya brung.

It irks me that TT’s can be found in the sub-$3k range all day, yet TT-RS’s of any year/mileage combo all still seem to be $40k+.

I like that color.

Do it! I do it in the 55 and on the monster (minus the bikes... for now). The more unlikely something is, the more fun it is!

You don’t really need it if you’re not doing any real off-roading.

I know but my problem is that my favorite campground involves a graveled torn- up Forest service road that my longbed very roughly and slowly managed. One hour on just this road... Ride height of the IS is a big concern to. It can't handle and dips.

I believe Audi UK rates the TT for something like 3,000 lbs, so it can definitely be done if you have a low tongue weight and keep your speed reasonable.

I wonder if there’s a way to lift it a couple of inches. I’m thinking of that Outback I posted a couple of weeks ago. It had a 2” lift kit. That maybe all you need.

“Reasonable” with a low tongue weight trailer means 50, though, tops.
Which isn’t reasonable on American roads...

Right lane with flashers, stay off Interstates.
Besides, we have the lowest speed limits in the developed world.
